Hello Atlantic Region Members and Friends

We’ve finished all the Halloween candy. Thanksgiving is less than a month away, and a plethora of synthetic pines seemingly appeared overnight in the big box stores.  Believe it or not, it’s time to make reservations for our annual Christmas and Hanukkah Party Luncheon.

This year we’ll be feasting with a three course sit-down lunch on December 7, 2019 at the lovely Upper Montclair Country Club in Upper Montclair, New Jersey. JoAnn Horvath is a member there and she has graciously offered to host our event at her Club. It will be a sit down affair from 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM with a three course luncheon and dessert accompanied by champagne and mimosas as well as coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Please drive your Rolls or Bentley; there will be special parking set aside for us.

Awards from our recent concours in Darien will be presented at this event.

Our new Vice President of New Activities Merrie Werbel labored long and hard to find a suitable venue for us and her hard work has paid off. While the opportunity to spend any time with your fellow RROC members is priceless, our meal does come at a price and it’s spectacularly reasonable: $69.00 per person if paid before November 19, 2019; $74.00 if paid thereafter or at the door.

Merrie spent a vast amount of time seeking out a venue for us and nearly everywhere else in the New York Metropolitan area wanted double or triple this price. Thanks to Merrie and JoAnn for securing such a terrific spot. Guests are welcome but remember, this party historically has high attendance and has sold out so get your replies back ASAP.

We are still seeking a speaker for the event and will update as appropriate. If anyone can suggest a non-political speaker of interest to our group, please drop Merrie or me a line.
